Privacy Policy — Free Budget

Free Budget is a personal budgeting app made by Geekos Solutions. This page explains, plainly, what happens to your data when you use it.
The short version
We don't collect your budget data. It never reaches our servers, because we don't have any. Everything you enter — your starting balance, your transactions, your spending categories — is stored on your device, and optionally synced through your own private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. Geekos Solutions has no access to it, under any circumstances.
What data the app stores
Free Budget stores the information you enter yourself: transaction descriptions, amounts, dates, category names and spending limits, and your starting balance. That's the entire list — the app doesn't collect your name, email, location, contacts, photos, or any device identifiers.
Where that data lives
Your data is stored locally on your device, and if you're signed into iCloud, it syncs through Apple's CloudKit to your own private iCloud database. This lets your budget follow you across your own devices (for example, from your iPhone to your iPad). This sync happens directly between your device and Apple's iCloud — it does not pass through, or get stored on, any server operated by Geekos Solutions.
Who can see your data
Only you. Your budget data lives in your private CloudKit database, which is tied to your Apple ID. Geekos Solutions cannot see, access, or export it, and neither can anyone else — including Apple, beyond their role as the infrastructure provider for your own private storage.
Third parties
Free Budget doesn't use analytics, advertising, or tracking software of any kind. We don't share, sell, or transmit your data to any third party, because we never receive it in the first place.
Your choices
You can erase all of your budget data at any time from within the app (Settings → "Erase all data and start over"). If you'd rather your budget not sync via iCloud at all, sign out of iCloud on your device, or disable iCloud Drive for Free Budget in your device's iCloud settings — the app will keep working normally, just without cross-device sync.
Children's privacy
Free Budget is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age, beyond what's described above.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
